THE WHY OF IT
Human beings have to know the answers to certain important questions, in order to plan our lives.
Never mind that, in retrospect, our lives seldom go as planned; and many of the important questions seem to have been answered badly.
Just having a plan, however often it must be altered or diverted, gives us the illusion of purpose, and keeps us in the game.
It is of no importance that our questions turn out to have had too many answers; or none at all. The answers that we settle on, or fantasize, will serve our plans.
That’s the answer to the most important question.
“How do we live?”
There is no why.
